Embassy Gardens is at the heart of Nine Elms, the central London riverside neighbourhood whose revitalisation, master-planned by Sir Terry Farrell, has been described by the former Mayor of London as ‘possibly the most important regeneration story in London and in the UK over the next twenty years’. The architectural style is distinctive, with apartments standing amongst landscaped public squares, parks and spectacular gardens. Amenities of the highest standard include the private Eg: le club with its own library and gym, the world-famous Sky Pool, as well as a spa, cinema and business facilities.
With the relocation of the US embassy to the area, directly across the river from Pimlico, and the nearby regeneration of Battersea Power Station, Embassy Gardens is the centrepiece of the last great new district in the centre of London. It set record sales values during phase 1, and the second phase is set to deliver even further value growth. The project as a whole will include up to 1,750 new homes and over 40,000 sq m of office and flexible workspace spread over eight building plots rising up to 23 storeys in height. One Embassy Gardens will be the flagship commercial building to complete in 2019, a 215,000 sq ft office building designed by Lee Polisano of PLP Architects. It will have exceptional commercial space over ten floors and a unique west-facing roof terrace and winter gardens with spectacular views over the River Thames and central London. New tenants include Penguin Random House UK and Dorling Kindersley.
An application has recently consented for EG:HQ – for a 13-storey office building which will provide 217,000 sq. ft. of flexible, contemporary space designed by Morris+Company. The building will also deliver 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor amenity space, including a 9,000 sq. ft. communal terrace and several private open-air terraces. The plans also propose over 5,000 sq. ft. of ground-floor retail/restaurant space, in addition to 330 cycle spaces and a cycle workshop to encourage sustainable travel to the area.
London has been called the most liveable city on earth. At Embassy Gardens, our residents live at its heart. Explore Chelsea, Kensington and Mayfair across the river. Or stay home to relax at the Belmont Pool or dine in the rooftop bar. Every inch of the development is designed for people to work, live and relax.
